Augustana stole the show
I was really looking forward to seeing Counting Crows with Augustana, but unfortunately Neil Giraldo mixed with reggae canceled due to a medical emergency. So instead we heard Michael Franti.
Augustana was great, however. The main singer had great composure and sang his heart whenever he had the microphone. They did a few fun renditions of some simon and garfunkel and muddy waters songs.
Unfortunately, I was not that impressed with Counting Crows live. Adam just does not enunciate his words well when he's on stage, so it was hard to understand the lyrics and the songs sounded very different (almost unrecognizable) from what you'd hear on the album. He also was all over the stage and kind of sloppy, almost like he was drunk.
Overall, it was a fun night, I was just slightly disappointed with Counting Crows' live style.
